WE ARE
We are a team of young South Africans who share a common vision. We believe in improving the humanity, dignity and equality of our country. We understand change only occurs through action. We recognise that sharing passion, ideas and resources with like-minded people and organisations is how we achieve this vision.
We recognise education is a precious commodity that should be enjoyed by all. However, without assistance,
there are South Africans who are not afforded the opportunity to reach their potential. We reach out with the helping hand.
Since founding in 2012 Chapter 2 has undertaken a number of projects to ensure the betterment of South Africa and its people. Chapter 2 is registered as a Non-profit Organisation (Registration number NPC 2013/161523/08) both with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) as well as the Department of Social Development(Registration number NPO 126 – 140). In addition to this Chapter 2 is registered in terms of section 18A of the Income Tax Act as a Public Benefit Organisation (Registration number PBO 930046357).
HAWK ACADEMY
We have been a part of this school's story for around 18 months. From humble beginnings, the school is now home to over 1000 students between the ages of 5 and 18, providing a nurturing environment for vulnerable children both physically and psychologically.
In partnership with Abcon, we are rezoning and rebuilding the school which currently caters for these students up to grade 8 in ad hoc classrooms.
The Successes...We have already:

Created a feeding scheme in partnership with Sizani foods which provides care packages to child-headed families

Contributed to ensuring girls schooling is not harmed by lack of access to safe menstruation products with the MINA project

initiated a library installation with books included;

established water tanks as a reliable water source with the help of Amanzi Storage solutions

Chapter 2 actively addresses the discrepancies between what constitutional rights are promised to South African citizens on paper, and the physical access to these rights. We work alongside equally passionate, like-minded organisations to foster positive change and value in the lives of the deserving.
Through this holistic approach to charity we believe that we have the foundation to make the greatest impact on those lives that need our help. Below are a few examples of the projects Chapter 2 have been and are currently working on.
