The Right to Health

Chapter 2, in collaboration with generous donors, organised a largest fundraising event upon hearing of a young boy who was being treated at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. The proceeds from the event enabled us to make a contribution to the young boy and his brave fight against spinal muscular atrophy. We were able to raise sufficient funds to inform the boy and his mother that Chapter 2 had covered her son’s attendance at Hope School for children with physical disabilities, with all annual fees covered for the duration of his studies for three years. 

Chapter 2 again worked with the Hillcrest Aids Centre (HAC) to bring HIV Aids training to a number of youths from surrounding areas. The training empowered the youths to be champions in their communities in the prevention of HIV Aids.
